Correcting Slice – Is It Possible?
For many golfers the frustration of seeing your ball slice to the right on a regular basis is too much to handle often resulting in slamming your clubs into the ground in anger – or kicking your bag!.
Fortunately and un-fortunately there are many factors that can cause the slice, Fortunately because all these things can be fixed, when identified.
And un-fortunately because identifying them is the hard part and with the vast number of training aids and professional opinions that all seem to differ it can leave the golfer not knowing which way to turn for advice.
That was the position I was in, I had a slice for around 10 years that was until I found a system that lead to me correcting slice.
One of the factors that was causing my slice shots and what I’m going to discus with you today is lining up with the ball and the direction of travel properly.
It’s common sense that if you are not lined up correctly you will not be able to hit the ball in the direction you want it to travel.
The good news is that if you suffer from not lining up correctly it is quite easy to fix and even easier to diagnose.
Firstly when you line up to hit a ball get a buddy to place an iron at the end of your feet, then step back and have a look at the direction your feet are pointing.
If the line made by the club is pointing in the direction you wanted the ball to go you are lined up correctly. If not this is going to cause a problem with your game and needs to be addressed. To fix this issue with lining up go to the range and place an iron on the ground pointing straight down the range then line up to it when you take your shots. At first this will seem strange but you will soon get used to it, after long you will line up to the ball correctly and hopefully this will go some way to correcting slice shots in your game.
This technique can also be used when you are next playing on the golf course, you may look a little daft but if it helps to cure your slice who cares!.

I wish you all the best in your quest of becoming a better golfer.
