How to Improve Your Putting Game
How to Better Your Putts
Putting is said to make up around 3/4ths of the shots in golf. Ironically, one of the goals to a remarkable golf game is to make as few putts as possible. You can achieve that goal by making sure each putt you make ends in triumph. Here are some great ideas to help you improve your putting. Most of which you will find in the ‘How to Break 80 and Shoot like the Pros’ course.
Good Stands and Good Grips Result in Great Putts
Practice a great stance and find the best grip if you want to make sure your putt is a a hit.Grip the club using a grip that you are most relaxed with. The Reverse Overlap Grip is a prevalent putting grip. You must try other grips too. Grip the club exactly by making sure that the palm of your dominant hand is facing the target.. You also need to read the green for breaks. There are more practical tips on this point in the simple golf swing review.
When standing ensure that your feet are a foot or so apart. Take into consideration the place of the ball. Make sure that that the ball lies parallel to the midway point between your left foot and the center of your stance. You must also square your shoulders and make sure that the line your shoulder makes is parallel to that of the target line.
Keep the Lower Half of Your Body Steady
Only your arms and shoulders have to move when you putt. Don’t move the lower half of your body. Doing so will help you get an improved follow through on the ball. Lastly, utilize your arms and shoulders to put and not your wrists.
Let the Green Decide Your Putt
Not every green lies smooth. More regularly than not, the path to the hole will be filled with one or two breaks. Pay consideration to these breaks. If the green breaks somewhat to the left, hit the ball slightly towards the right in order to contradict the break. The distance between the ball and the hole should reflect in your putting strength. This is covered also in the Pure Point Gold Swing Book.
Last but not least, you have to learn how important practice is. You are not expected to learn anything right away. You’ll get better if practice more often. To finish, don’t focus on making the shot, as an alternative focus on making a great putt. Doing so will aid you get better results.
